Cadenza Magazine
Cadenza is the magazine of the Reaud Honors College and is written and edited by the college's students and staff.
Story Behind the Name
Inspired by 17³Ô¹Ï's award-winning magazine Cardinal Cadence, 17³Ô¹Ï's honors program selected a harmonious title in 2006 for our new publication — Cadenza.
Whereas "cadence" refers to the measure or beat of an overall work, a "cadenza" is a virtuosic passage, often performed by gifted soloists.
When our honors program grew into the Reaud Honors College in Fall 2014, we transformed Cadenza from a newsletter into a magazine. Cadenza continues to provide us a wonderful opportunity to share news about 17³Ô¹Ï's "virtuosic" students with our alumni, parents and 17³Ô¹Ï community.
