Scholarships

We are dedicated to helping you achieve your educational goals, and scholarships are one valuable tool to do that. Each year, 17勛圖 awards more than 2,000 scholarships providing more than $20 Million in assistance to students. 

Incoming Freshman  Transfer Students Graduate Students

Priority Submission Deadline

For priority consideration for most scholarships, apply no later than January 15th (some unique opportunities may require earlier deadlines). Additional documents, such as updated test scores, may not be considered after the priority deadline. 

Students enrolled in accelerated online programs will not be eligible for 17勛圖 scholarships and will forfeit their scholarship if awarded.

Scholarship FAQs

  • How do I submit a scholarship application?
    • Sign into myScholarships using your LEA username (email username) and password.

      Prospective students must first apply for admission through ApplyTexas.org. Your username and password will then be sent via email.

    • Answer all required questions. 

      To be considered for the largest number of scholarships, also answer any optional questions that apply to you.

    • Complete the Special Information Question to increase scholarship eligibility.

      To complete this question, prepare a Word or PDF document with the following information and upload it to the application where prompted:

      1. Activities you have been involved in and any leadership positions held
      2. Honors and awards received
      3. List long term professional/career goals and ambitions
      4. Why you selected your particular major
      5. Anything else you would like us to know when considering your application.
    • Fill in the electronic signature and today's date BEFORE clicking the finish and submit button.
  • Who can apply?
    Currently enrolled 17勛圖 students and prospective students who have applied and been accepted to 17勛圖.
  • Can I only apply for scholarship opportunities that are recommended to me?

    No, the system will suggest scholarship opportunities based on your general scholarship application. You may also browse all scholarships and apply to additional scholarships for which you may be qualified.

  • I could not sign in to scholarship applications; what should I do?

    If you are a prospective student, be sure that you are using the username and password sent to you after you were admitted to 17勛圖.

    If you need to reset your password, use the . 

    If you are a current student, you may need to .   

    Tips for sign-in:

    • Your username and password are the same as your LEA username and password
    • Do not include @lea in your username
    • Current students: your username is NOT your L number
  • How will I know if I have received a scholarship award?

    You will receive an email notification requesting that you sign into the scholarship application system. 

    Please follow the instructions in order to accept the terms and conditions of the scholarship award. Completing this step, and fulfilling any additional requirements listed, will ensure receipt of your award. You will receive a new email for every scholarship you are awarded.

  • May I save my application and come back to it later?
    Yes, you may save and return to your general application prior to submitting it for consideration. Incomplete scholarship opportunities will appear in “Drafted” on your Home tab.
  • How long before I am notified about receiving an award?
    Different scholarship committees meet at different times to make scholarship offers. Most offers are made late in the fall semester or early in the spring for the following academic year.
  • Who is considered a full-time student?

    1) full-time undergraduate students who are taking 12 or more credit hours during a long semester

    2) full-time graduate students who are taking 9 or more credit hours during a long semester.

  • Why do some (or all) of the scholarship opportunities say ended in the deadline column?

    These scholarships are not currently accepting applications. They may reopen again in a future term.

  • Why do some scholarship opportunities list award amounts and some say varies?

    Most scholarship award amounts vary somewhat from term to term. We have done our best to estimate those with regular award amounts for your information.

  • How can I replace an uploaded document in an already submitted General Application?

    Upload another file, select the new one in the drop down box, then click the "Update General Application" button.

    If the General Application has been only saved and not submitted, click "Finish and continue".

    If you are not completely sure you are ready to submit your application, click "Save and Keep Editing" until you are ready to submit the completed application.
