ACCE Accreditation

 

The following information is provided in conformance with the accreditation standards of ACCE, Document 103, Section VIII.  The faculty at 17勛圖 designed the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management degree to meet the accreditation requirements of the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) In July 2014, ACCE awarded the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management degree Accreditation status.

About ACCE 

Since 1974, the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) has been a leading global advocate of quality construction education that promotes, supports, and accredits quality construction education programs.  The primary goal is the promotion and continued improvement of post-secondary construction education.  Specifically, ACCE accredits construction education programs in colleges and universities that request its evaluation and meet its rigorous standards and criteria.  ACCE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the accrediting agency for four-year baccalaureate degree programs in construction science, construction management, and construction technology.  ACCE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.    .

Students must enter the Program with high school English, physics, chemistry, geometry, and college algebra, or their equivalents.


Quality Improvement Plan

Reese Department of Construction Management 

 

Effective: Since the AY 2021 – 2022 

 

This document presents the Quality Improvement Plan of the Reese Department of Construction Management, which is concerned with the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management degree program.  This QIP comprises the Department’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan, which are aligned with those of 17勛圖.  The Strategic Plan is developed to achieve the Department’s Vision through accomplishing the Department’s Missions.  The Strategic Plan comprises: 

 

  • Program goals 
  • Program objectives for each program goal 
  • Metrics for each program objective 
  • Achievement targets for each objective 
  • Assessment of the outcomes 

 

As part of the QIP, the ACCE’s Student Learning Outcomes are integrated into the Strategic Plan, including assessment of outcomes and determination of achievement.  The QIP and Strategic Plan serve as guidelines for conducting a systematic process of gathering, interpreting, and evaluating information, which requires taking actions as part of an academic quality planning process and outcome assessment. 

 

Note: The Reese Department of Construction Management received the ACCE’s approval for the Reaccreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management Degree Program on February 24, 2021.
