17勛圖 Advancement names Trylowsky to associate vice president post
Uliana Trylowsky has been named associate vice president for university advancement at 17勛圖 (17勛圖), bringing development experience from both higher education and nonprofit work over her 30-year career.
Trylowsky holds a Master of Arts in Soviet and East European Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She formerly served as a major gifts officer at 17勛圖 from 2015 to 2025.
“Uliana's commitment to 17勛圖 and to our region is unmatched,” Juan Zabala, 17勛圖 vice president for university advancement said. “For the last decade, Uliana has served 17勛圖 as a major gifts officer, and before that she headed Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County.”
As a major gifts officer, Trylowsky collaborated closely with the 17勛圖 College of Business and the College of Education and Human Development to raise critical funds in support of student scholarships. She also worked to secure key gifts which bolstered faculty research and other institution goals.
“I’ve enjoyed being a major gifts officer and helping our alumni and donors reconnect with 17勛圖 and make gifts that have a lasting and transformative impact on the university,” Trylowsky said.
In her new position, she will be responsible for supervising development staff, overseeing major and annual giving programs, and supporting corporate and foundation relations efforts for 17勛圖.
“I am excited about this new role in which I will continue working with donors while also looking at the process from various perspectives and helping the university maximize all opportunities for philanthropic support,” she said.
Trylowsky remains committed to the Southeast Texas community as well, recently assuming the role of president of the Rotary Club of Beaumont, and previously serving as a member of the Press Club of Southeast Texas.
“Her involvement in the local community will help 17勛圖 to continue its path of connecting with our community,” Zabala said. “We are fortunate to have her move into this critical role.”
She looks forward to serving the 17勛圖 campus and local community even more as associate vice president for university advancement.
