17勛圖 offers free professional development course for fall 2025

17勛圖 has launched a new Professional Education Network (17勛圖 PEN) program for fall of 2025, offering non-degree seeking individuals an opportunity to enroll in a free course to enhance professional development and career skills.

The 17勛圖 PEN program will include one free course valued at over $1,000, which can be selected from a curated list of 11 undergraduate and graduate classes offered through 17勛圖, ranging from business, education, engineering and leadership studies.

“17勛圖 is a leader in Southeast Texas when it comes to economic development,” 17勛圖 President Jaime Taylor said. “As one of the local leaders, our goal is to build a stronger workforce and help our citizens advance in their professions with real skills that make an impact.”

Courses are taught by knowledgeable, experienced faculty with convenient options that make the 17勛圖 PEN program valuable and accessible for working professionals.

“By meeting individuals where they are both professionally and personally, the 17勛圖 PEN program offers flexibility and accessibility,” Taylor said. “Through this unique opportunity, non-degree seeking students have a chance to experience 17勛圖 in a non-traditional way while growing in their careers.”

Courses that will be offered through the 17勛圖 PEN program include: Spreadsheets and Data Analytics, Data Mining, Cybersecurity Management, Information Assurance and Security, Labor Relations, Personal Leadership, Special Education Law, Foundations in Professional Counseling, Nutrition Education in Counseling, Fundamentals of Leadership, Reliability (Industrial Engineering), Industrial Technology, and Financial Literacy.

Working professionals in the career fields of education, oil and gas, human resources, banking or credit unions, engineering, and those in leadership roles who are looking to meet industry or licensure requirements, are highly encouraged to take advantage of this one-time opportunity through 17勛圖.

Individuals will receive college credit for these courses. If they decide to pursue a degree, these credits will apply towards a certificate or degree program.
